Taking the stage in her second retro black dress of the night, Ms. Adkins showed off her vocal chops with a few stanzas of a cappella riffing before a full band and back-up singers busted in. The year's best-selling single came to life on its own -- no cheesy medley, just the voice that enchanted millions, back on full display after months of silence.
